The British furniture, lighting and décor brand has opened its new store in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
Located on the corner of Broadway and 20th Street, the new flagship store has full-height windows on the first floor that provide a clear view into the interior space. The main showroom occupies an area of 1,890sq ft on the first floor and is topped by a 344sq ft mezzanine. Meanwhile, an open stair case connects the showroom a 1,221sq ft level that provides an additional showroom space alongside a café bar.
Founder and Creative Director, Tim Oulton, said: “We opened one of our galleries in New York City back in 2009 because I considered New York one of the great, if not the greatest, of the world’s cities. It’s a global epicentre of great design, so I’m excited to be reopening here.”
The Timothy Oulton in-house design team has developed the concept for the new 7,170sq ft store. Meanwhile, New York City-based McAlpine Contracting built the new retail gallery, which is what Oulton calls his stores.
